I grew up on my family’s farm in Arkansas and later attended college at the University of Arkansas. After graduating, I studied law at New England Law in Boston, Massachusetts. I was drawn to the legal field because I wanted to help people and offer guidance to those who are going through the most difficult periods of their life.
I have first-hand experience with how family changes can scare, overwhelm, and isolate. Having gone through a divorce myself, I understand that feeling of life being turned upside down. It can feel impossible to navigate the difficulties and struggles that accompany divorce, along with finding a new way to move forward. Following my divorce, I jumped at the chance to start afresh and move to the Pacific Northwest Coast; where I’ve wanted to live as long as I can remember. Since moving here, I’ve not only found a job, but a family here at Coast Family Law. Accompanied by my dog, Nova, I enjoy life on the coast by hiking, kayaking, and exercising my creativity through my love of art and history.
Ultimately, I chose family law because I love working with my clients. I value speaking with them directly to understand their personal needs and hopes for the future. Family law is not just about helping one person, but it’s about helping families find that way forward and establish harmony for the long-term.
